Year-End Yoga Retreat:
Listening Inward, Leaning Forward

As the year draws to a close, this year-end retreat invites you to pause, breathe deeply, honor your journey so far, and set your heart and mind on your hope for the new year. Whether you are a beginner, new to yoga, or more experienced in your practice, this five-hour retreat will use the union of mind, breath, and movement to encourage positive self-reflection, mindful self-awareness, and clear vision for 2026. This will be a time to honor the past with awareness and acceptance, align to the present with attention, and plant seeds of intention for the new year.
This retreat will include:
A retreat participant guidebook
3 forty-five minute yoga sessions appropriate to all skill levels
Guided meditation/visualization
Time for walking labyrinth meditation and creative expression (writing and/or artwork)
Invitations for self-reflection and intention setting for the new year
Light refreshments

Early registration by December 15th $40

Information about your retreat leader:
Karen Kinnamon has practiced yoga for over 25 years, holds a 500 hour YTT certification from Kripalu School of Yoga with certification in Thai Yoga bodywork, and has been leading yoga classes in Americus since 2014. She is retired from 30 years of teaching high school English and has both participated in and led previous retreats.
Tentative Retreat Schedule
(time references serve as a flexible guide for our time together)
10:45 to 11:15—Welcome and settling in
11:15 to 11:45—Introductions, centering, mindfulness practice
11:45 to 12:30—Yoga session #1 (grounding—poses to bring comfort and ignite reflection and creativity)
12:30 to 1:30—Guided meditation/visualization (walking the labyrinth), Creative Expression (past and present), thoughtful reading and discussion with time for reflection and expression in writing and/or art
1:30 to 2:15—Yoga Session #2 (fire stoking, heart opening— poses to ignite determination and loving self-expression)
2:15 to 3:00—Light refreshments, guided meditation/visualization, walking the labyrinth, Creative expression (present and future), and mindful eating with light refreshments—complete artistic project(s), write a letter to yourself—voluntary group sharing
3:00 to 3:45—Yoga Session #3 (voice, wisdom, and surrender— poses to connect to your truth in mind, body, and spirit)
3:45 to 4:00—Closing
