Circuits and Shen II: Models of Consciousness & Chinese Medicine
Stages of psychological development have various impacts on one's perception of both their inner and outer world. Within each one of these stages a person can take on a positive or negative "imprint" which can have a lasting effect on how they view basic survival needs, emotional reactivity, logic and reasoning , social interactions and more. Drawing from the 8 circuit model of consciousness, psychoneuroendocrinology, and body based psychotherapy, this class will explore the secind four, or "Heavenly" stages,, imbalances that can occur as a result of imprinting and methods of working through these imbalances within Chinese medicine.
While designed for acupuncturists, other treatment options including bodywork and essential oils will be discussed as non-insertive approaches will also be covered making it accesible to bodyworkers or those with a serious interest in how this model may benefit their own or others personal development
This Course is pending approval for 13.5 continuing education points by NCCAOM.
