Here's how our rides work. We roll out together, then split into a casual group and an intermediate group. Both groups regroup at every major intersection and at the top of every climb. Nobody sits alone at a trail junction wondering where everybody went, and nobody gets stuck riding slower than they want to.

If you've never ridden East Fork, ride with the casual group. It isn't a slow group so much as a group that stops to explain things. If asked, ride leaders will talk you through line choice, body position, and when to get off the brakes.

Afterward we fire up the grill in the lot. Stay for that part. It's half the reason people come back.

**Bring:** working bike, helmet (required), water, and a snack for the trail.
