It is, however, also the time when we can look forward to the light coming back. This sacred encounter is a celebration of this sure hope which is symbolic of a deeper hope for life, allowing us to hold on when it might otherwise seem hopeless. We may or may not observe setting sun, but we know that it is happening all the same.Before you come you might like to look back over the past year and look forward to the next as you think about what gives you hope.The walk is a circular tour of Wansfell which rises above Ambleside, and on a clear day, affords wonderful views of the lakes and fells as the sun sets to the Southwest. The distance is 6.07 km with 480m of ascent following mountain paths with moderately steep climbs.We will leave promptly at 2 p.m. and aim to return by 5 p.m. Meet at Waterhead Car Park NY 37660 03284. ///daffodils.pelting.jurorPlease bring Christmas snacks to share AND A TORCH.
