Join Courtney Windju for this elevated book club exploring living the Eight-Limbed Path of yoga. This 10-week exploration of "The Yamas & Niyamas" by Deborah Adele will offer a holistic roadmap for living with greater awareness, integrity, and compassion—both on and off the mat.
The Yamas and Niyamas are the first two limbs of the Eight-Limbed Path of Yoga, as outlined in the ancient framework of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
The Yamas, often translated as “restraints,” help us navigate our relationships with the world around us, while the Niyamas, or “observances,” guide us in cultivating inner harmony and self-understanding. Together, they form the moral and spiritual foundation of yoga practice, reminding us that yoga is far more than postures—it’s a way of being.
Each week, we’ll explore one of the ten principles through thoughtful discussion, personal reflection, and group sharing. We’ll use Adele’s book as our guide, weaving in our own lived experiences, curiosities, and insights.
