Join Katie Yev for this three-session immersion to explore the Yoga Sutras in a way that’s both intellectual and experiential. Through discussion, reflection, and embodied practice, we’ll bring this ancient wisdom to life—connecting timeless teachings to the realities of modern living.
The Yoga Sutras of Patañjali are considered to be one of the most important foundational texts in yoga philosophy, outlining the theory and practice of yoga, not so much the physical postures we often associate with yoga today, but the inner path toward clarity, freedom, and self-realization.
Each session includes reading and unpacking key sutras, guided dialogue, and short practices to help you feel the teachings in your body. Participants will leave with a foundational understanding of the Yoga Sutras, deeper self-awareness, and a sense of the subtle intelligence that shapes thoughts, actions, and everyday life.
OVERVIEW:
Session 1 — Foundations + Introduction
☆ Overview of the Yoga Sutras and key teachings from Book 1.
Session 2 — The Eight Limbs: The Outer Practices
☆ Exploring Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, and Pranayama—how these teachings inform both practice and daily life.
Session 3 — The Eight Limbs: The Inner Practices + Integration
☆ Exploring Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi through discussion and simple embodiment practices.
