# Event Details - **Event Name**: Woodland Home Educating Families at Shining Cliff Woods - **Event Start and End Date**: Tue, 24 Sep, 2024 at 12:00 pm – Tue, 09 Jun, 2026 at 02:30 pm (+01:00) - **Event Description**: Creativity and exploration in the woods, exclusively designed for homeschooling families to connect, create, and have fun.About this EventWoodland adventures for home educating families.These sessions offer an opportunity for home educating families to connect outdoors, with optional nature related activities on offer for both children and adults, with no pressure to do anything other than experience time together in the woods.With a forest school ethos, out main focus is on child led learning through play.The different activities offered at each session are dependant upon the weather, season, and the interests of the group.Sometimes we might spend the session at one of the woodland clearings, or we might head to the stream area, discovering and exploring.(Please note, there is no toilet in these areas - wild wee behind a tree is the natural facilities on offer!)Other times we might head to the BBQ circle.On wet days we can put up a high tarp over the BBQ and enjoy hot drinks under cover.These sessions take place on one Tuesday each month.The sessions finish at 2:30pm, but you are free to leave earlier if you need to.Please dress for the weather, with several layers and waterproofs. It can get very chilly in the woods and you will have a far better experience if you are warm and dry. Sturdy footwear is essential for the uneven and often muddy woodland paths.Please bring your own packed lunch.A reminder that adults are responsible for the safety of their children throughout these sessions.We will meet at the private woodland car park at 12pm. If you are going to be arriving late, that's no problem, but please let us know so that we can tell you where to find us once you arrive.Your booking confirmation will contain a link to detailed directions and parking information.
