Since joining the company, he has held leadership roles across training/HR, Sales & Marketing, Innovation, and corporate strategy. His broad experience and cross-functional background makes him a key contributor to Cacique’s growth and transformation.​ After completing a post-MBA Executive Rotation Program, Chris took on full-time responsibility for company-wide innovation and product development. In 2017, he launched Cacique’s Innovation Lab in Downtown Los Angeles, building a team of R&D and marketing experts to drive the company’s new product pipeline. During this time, the brand entered new categories such as dips, fully cooked meats, plant-based chorizo and flavored sour creams – several of which are still part of the company’s portfolio today. ​ Over the past year, Chris has also led Cacique’s Food Service and Commercial Sales team, helping to expand the company’s reach and impact in key channels. In December 2024, he stepped in to lead the Transition Management Office (TMO), where he now oversees cross-functional initiatives that support organizational transformation and strategic execution.​ Demonstrating his versatility and commitment to the business, Chris also accepted the challenge of serving as Interim Site Director in Amarillo during a critical transition period from 2023-2024. In this role, Chris provided steady leadership and operational support when it was most needed, seeing the Amarillo operation through its final stages of commissioning and ramping up to meet a steep sales demand curve. ​ In his core role, Chris continues to lead strategic growth initiatives, long-range planning, and corporate development efforts—including expansion into new markets, new product categories, and M&A activity. His work is central to shaping the future of Cacique as a national leader in authentic Mexican food.​ Chris holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (2014), with concentrations in Marketing Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management. He earned his undergraduate degree from USC’s Marshall School of Business (2009), focusing on Marketing Strategy and Organizational Behavior. He has also completed executive education programs at Northwestern Kellogg for brand marketing and Stanford’s design think program for product development. Most recently Chris completed an M&A strategy and integration course at the University of Chicago’s Booth school of business. ​ Outside of work, Chris enjoys food, Formula 1, skiing, and road trips.
