Taking place across four weeks participants will gain an introduction into the idea and processes behind mindful art, exploring a range of techniques under the guidance of artist Jane Howroyd.
The sessions will go through a series of breathing practices combined with drawing and painting activities. Attendees the opportunity to work with a wide range of media including charcoal, stick and ink, chalk pastel, pencil and paint on a large and small scale. Each participant will go home with a goody-bag at the end of the session to continue what they have learnt at home.
The aim of these workshops is to give participants the knowledge and skills to continue their own mindful art practices both in between the sessions and going forwards into the future.
These workshops are not medical treatments or therapy but they give participants the chance to see their art work and the world around them in a new and exciting way; looking at ways to consider their inner critic and their own art practice.
These workshops are free to attend, but we do ask for individuals to attend all four sessions. If the workshops prove popular we will look at extending these for an additional 4-6 weeks in 2021.
Due to Covid19 we will be limiting the numbers of attendees per session to 6. Attendees will be provided a visor during the workshop and spaces 1 metres away from the next nearest attendee.
