We'll be planting seeds to help inspire the next generation of gardeners, maintaining the on-site Community Garden and working with the Bounceback Food Community Chefs to create a meal with previously planted herbs!Fun, free and family friendly!Our Gardening Club workshops have been deisgned specifically for primary school children aged 6-11, tickets for these workshops are exclusively for children and their families in receipt of Free School Meals. If you sign up your child/children, you will need to remain at our Community Kitchen for the duration of the workshop and supervise them at all times.Our team will create a friendly, collaborative learning environment and provide assistance to help accommodate all learning needs.Who are we?Bounceback Food CIC is a social enterprise fighting food poverty on multiple fronts. Our Community Cookery School teams teach people how to cook, run food bank drives at market events, help people get jobs in the food sector and coordinate community meal drives that provide emergency meals for our beneficiaries.Since 2014 we have taught 12,500+ people how to cook, including stroke survivors, young carers, food bank beneficiaries and elderly people living in sheltered accommodation. We have also secured 25,000+ donations to food banks and generated over 285,000 meals for people in need via our catering, community meal drives and cookery workshops.Our Community Kitchen on Central Way in Altrincham opened on July 1st 2023. The 'buy one, give one' menu supports our meal distribution efforts to 15 food banks and sheltered accommodation sites across Manchester. This workshop has been kindly funded by the William Dean Countryside and Educational Trust.FAQsDo I need to supervise my child/children during the Gardening Club?Yes please - at all times!I can't make it - how else can I support your Social Enterprise?There are lots of ways to support our non-profit organisation!
