- **Event Description**: This two-day, beginner-friendly workshop offers the opportunity to explore some of the most basic fundamentals of metalsmithing: sawing sheet metal and cold connections! Students will create a unique pin they can take home using the following techniques:

~Sawing, piercing, and filing sheet copper

~Round rivets and tube rivets

~Creating and enhancing hammered and punched textures

~Creating simple brooch pins

The first session of the class will be dedicated to learning the basics of sawing and riveting and familiarizing students with a metalsmithing studio, with the second being focused on applying all the techniques together to create a finished, completely unique work of art students can take home. Each day's workshop is from 2-5pm. 

Students should wear closed toed shoes with socks and natural fibered clothing, like cotton, linen, or wool. For safety, please pull long hair back. Ages 16+
