- **Event Description**: As the days get shorter and the nights longer, we start to notice the turning of the seasons and the coming of fall. What would that season be without a trip to Steelhead country? Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or this is your first time up, this is the trip for you.


We will be staying at the Fox Hollow Lodge in Altmar, NY on the banks of the famous Salmon River. Although some anglers will come up for the full 4 days, we will have a smaller cabin available for those who wish to come up just for the weekend.


The Salmon River is out the back door, but some anglers have intimate knowledge of various local tribs if fishing conditions allow. These smaller streams can fish well and oftentimes are less crowded. If you’ve been interested in giving this fishery a try, this is the trip for you.


The cost for the trip is $65 a night. We often eat together in the larger cabin, so bring your favorite dish to share for dinner. We’ll coordinate that when we know who’s coming. The lodge does not supply bedding, so please bring your own.
