Santa on the Train

Join us for a Christmas time train ride and Santa and his elves will come aboard and join you as you journey from Alston through the South Tyne Valley to Lintley Halt.
Children aged 0-16 will receive a gift from Santa and a Christmas themed spotter sheet to keep them busy whilst they wait for the man in red to join them in the carriage and everyone will receive a complimentary drink and festive bake to enjoy on the train.
Dogs are welcome but must have a ticket to travel and numbers are limited.
The trains and our site are wheelchair accessible.
Christmas trains depart from Alston station at 10:30, 12:00, 14:00 and 15:30.
Early bird tickets at last year’s price are available from now until 31st October so don’t leave it too late to book! 2025 prices will apply from 1st November.
