MidCoast Watersheds Council invites you to our upcoming Volunteer Day on Wednesday, December 17th, from 9 AM to 1 PM!

? We’re kicking off a new 40-acre restoration project at a former Christmas tree farm along the Alsea River on Hwy 34. Volunteers will help plant trees, collect, process, and stake willow, and remove blackberry root balls from recently restored riparian areas. 

? All skill levels are encouraged to attend for as little or long as you'd like! Come get your hands dirty and make a difference! 

☔ Expect possible rain and muddy conditions- please dress accordingly. Muck boots and rain jackets are recommended. This event is weather dependent and volunteers that RSVP Yes will be notified the morning of if the weather will cancel our plans. 

? We will provide tools, gloves, snacks, and some drinks. Please bring a water bottle. 

? Meet on-site: 23830 E Alsea Hwy. Look for the MidCoast "Event Today" sign along the highway. Please park by the shed by the road, and we’ll shuttle folks to the planting area across the field. Please be aware that this site is approximately 30 minutes east of Waldport up the Alsea Hwy.
