Let’s close out summer in the most vibrant way possible: on the water, with glowing boats, great vibes, & good food. Whether you’ve got a kayak, canoe, or SUP, you’re invited to come join an unforgettable evening of paddling under the stars at beautiful Tibble Fork Reservoir.
★HERE'S THE VISION★
As the sun sets around 8:00 PM, the lights come on! Picture a glowing flotilla of lit-up boats cruising the reservoir — LED strips, underwater lights, headlamps, fairy lights — whatever creative setup you’ve got, bring it! We’ll float, mingle, & make the mountain water sparkle with color. Don’t know anyone? That’s perfect — neither do most people. Let’s make new friends.
Amidst time out on the water, we’ll meet at the shoreline to enjoy a casual potluck hangout. Bring a dish or snack to share (totally optional but appreciated!), & let’s make some new friends over tasty bites. I’d love to see at least 20 of us bring something, & I can list out confirmed food being brought at the bottom of the description as the RSVPs come in.
At the bottom of this event info field, you'll find a link to a 2 question Google Form so we can track all the food.
This is a relaxed, friendly, adults-only get-together meant to celebrate the end of summer in style. No pressure, no MLM pitches (had to say it being UT), no performances — just paddle, lights, food, & fun.
& who knows? Maybe if it's a blast we'll even do a September Night Paddle Party 2.0 (Sept. 14th?) for those that didn't make the 120 person cap this time around. This could be the start of a new tradition.
With posts leading up to the event, we will create a crowd-sourced music playlist that will be played through two synced Bluetooth speakers by the shore, kept to no more than 75 decibels in the potluck area, so as to not drown out the chill potluck vibe.

★3 people near the parking lot entrance to verify RSVP names on 10 minute intervals
★2 people to take awesome group high quality group photos to capture the magic. *Let it be known: If you're looking to go incognito, there will be lots of people snapping pics.
★Now let's go over the RULES for a safe & awesome time★
1. Leave No Trace 🗑️
Pack out all trash — even if it’s not yours. Let’s keep Tibble Fork beautiful for everyone. If you bring food, be ready to clean up after yourself & others if needed.
2. No Alcohol 🚫🍺
Let’s keep this dry & drama-free. This is a public space & a good-vibes event — plus, paddling while impaired isn’t safe.
3. Light It Up (Safely) 💡
Be creative, but be smart. LED lights, waterproof glow sticks, or headlamps are great. Just make sure your setup doesn’t interfere with visibility or navigation for others.
4. Wrap Up by 9:45 PM ⏳
Quiet Hours at nearby campgrounds start @ 10 PM. Please be packed up & heading out by 9:50 at latest so we don’t disturb campers or get on the Forest Service’s bad side.

To help make sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome, & to keep the vibe friendly & inclusive, we will aim to keep the gender ratio 65/35 in either direction. (As of 6/4 the women are dominating at 75% lol)
