- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 03 Oct, 2026 at 10:00 am – Sat, 03 Oct, 2026 at 05:00 pm (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: 🎃 All aboard for one of Maine’s most unique fall adventures! 🚂

Ride a historic steam train through the colorful forests, fields, and countryside of Maine’s Sheepscot Valley, then continue by wagon to SeaLyon Farm for an unforgettable autumn day of pumpkin picking and harvest-time fun.

Your adventure begins at the WW&F Railway Museum’s Sheepscot Station in Alna (Midcoast region of Maine, just one hour north of Portland). Climb aboard the Pumpkin Pickin’ Train and travel by steam to Top of Mountain, where a wagon will be waiting to carry you to nearby SeaLyon Farm. Once there, head into the pumpkin patch and pick your own perfect pumpkin to purchase and bring home.

There’s plenty more to enjoy at the farm! Depending on the day, activities may include horse-drawn wagon rides, farm-fresh food from local vendors, Maine-made beer and cider, a bonfire for making s’mores, lawn games, pumpkin bowling, visits with the SeaLyon Farm goats, and locally made foods, crafts, and farm products. Explore the grounds, enjoy the fall scenery, and soak up a classic Maine harvest day before catching the wagon back to the railway.

Choose either a 30- or 90-minute stay at the farm, then return aboard the narrow gauge for the trip back to Sheepscot. Your ticket includes the historic steam train ride, transportation to and from SeaLyon Farm, horse-drawn wagon rides at the farm, and parking at Sheepscot. Pumpkins, food, beverages, and other farm products are available separately.
