Back for 2026, a 214k Severn Bridge Series GOLD GRIMPEUR AAA event.

Includes a free finisher's rectangular route map patch for all riders.

A great day riding in Wales, with a few AAA points for your efforts.

Taking inspiration from the 10 Peaks Audacious Challenge, the hilliest 200km in the calendar that runs in July, a flatter route exploring the exact locations with 1000m less climbing.

You will explore Tintern and the Wye Valley before more climbing and fine views take you near Devauden, followed by a flatish section to Abergavenny.

Next, you will head close to Longtown Castle after more climbing, with the opportunity to rest up at the Village Store.

More climbing follows to get you to Hay-on-Wye, and then you'll ride the lumpy, remote, but beautiful sections Northwards, where youll then start the return leg.

You will then follow a valley with the stunning River Edw by your side before stopping for refreshments at Erwood Station Cafe.

Yet more climbs follow, including a big ascent in Hay on Wye, with Gospel Pass via the little-known and seldom-used steep side lane.

Next, back to Abergavenny and then back to Devauden.

Devauden will serve you up its devilish Star Hill to finish those tired legs off.

All the hard work is then done, and you have an easy descent with views of the Severn Bridge and then a flat section to bring you back to Chepstow.

Mostly quiet lanes and minor roads with easy navigation.
