Our workshop will focus on building bat boxes to help support local bat populations.

The evening will begin with a short presentation about bats, the important role they play in our ecosystem, and how bat houses provide valuable habitat. Then we'll guide you step-by-step through building your own bat box—no experience necessary!

All materials and supplies are provided.

Bat boxes built during the workshop will be installed around Hancock Biological Station to benefit our resident bats. If you'd prefer to take your bat box home, you're welcome to—as long as you promise to put it up and give some bats a new place to call home!

Whether you're a nature enthusiast, enjoy hands-on projects, or just want to learn something new, we'd love to see you there. Please register before 8/21/26 so we can ensure we have all the supplies we need.
