Create your own tiny ecosystem in a jar, one that takes care of itself.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll build a closed terrarium designed to recycle its own water and nutrients. Once sealed, it requires little to no maintenance and thrives on balance.
What makes it self-sustaining?
Plants release moisture, which collects on the glass and drips back into the soil, creating its own natural watering cycle. As leaves age and fall, they break down into nutrients the plants reuse.
We’ll also add springtails, a tiny cleanup crew that helps keep the terrarium healthy by breaking down dead plant matter and preventing mold. They stay in the soil, don’t harm plants, and are usually invisible once everything settles.
🌱 What’s included:
• Glass container
• Tropical plants & moss
• Soil, drainage layers & charcoal
• Springtails (cleanup crew)
• Step-by-step guidance
• Care tips to take home
