Rex Hobart and The Misery Boys tap into country music's long history of heartache tunes.
Guitarist and lead singer Scott "Rex" Hobart, bassist Tilden “Blackjack” Snow, guitarist Brendan “J.B. Morris” Moreland, drummer Mike “T.C. Dobbs” Dolembo, and pedal-steel player Nate “Solomon” Hofer have penned original songs since the group's formation in 1997.
Nate "Solomom" Hofer is also a 2025 Volland Exhibiting Artist, and his solo exhibit opens September 13th at the Volland Gallery. Come early to see Nate's photographs documenting decomissioned missile silo sites (some are in Kansas). Nate recorded his pedal steel guitar inside one of the hollow silos, and the recording is included in the exhibit.
Bring your lawn chair - we plan to be at the Ruin!
After the concert, stay for an early supper and more visiting before you drive home.
