As part of Allen’s 150th celebration, a panel of African Americans raised in Allen during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s will share their experiences at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 23, at the Allen Public Library.  
This group will reminisce about life in Allen when it was transitioning from a rural to an urban environment. Topics will include their education, employment, people who influenced their lives, what they did for entertainment, employment, heroes, challenges, their legacy and more.  
Sponsored by the Allen Public Library, the program is free.  The library is located at 300 N. Allen Dr.  Call 214-509-4911 for additional information.
