In a world that can feel fast-paced and heavy, writing helps us to express, explore, lament, to carry things lighter and find strands of hope and meaning. This workshop is about writing for our wellbeing and the stories that matter most to us.
This workshop is for all who want to explore how writing can improve our wellbeing, tell our stories and strengthen our writing practice. We will look at how writing can help us to carry our experiences in different ways and amplify those meaningful moments that otherwise do not see the light of day.
Drawing from writing techniques and his career as a counsellor, NT Literary Award winner Dave Clark will explore how writing can be safely used to vent, play and shape the stories that thread through our lives. Dave will guide participants in how to write about difficult experiences in gentler ways and give voice to our resilience and identity.
The workshop will be useful to all who enjoy journalling, those keen on wellbeing and any writers looking to strengthen their craft.
