International Women's Day Breakfast
We are excited to announce that Her Honour the Administrator, the Honourable Vicki O'Halloran will be speaking at our 2019 IWD breakfast event. As Administrator, Her Honour is at the same time Her Majesty The Queen’s Representative, the Governor-General’s Representative and the Senior Australian Government Representative in the Northern Territory. Her Honour performs a similar constitutional role to that of a State Governor and does not participate in the political process.
Prior to her appointment as Administrator of the Northern Territory, Her Honour was the Chief Executive Officer of Somerville Community Services, a non-government, not for profit, youth, family and community welfare organisation indigenous to the Northern Territory.
We can’t wait to hear her speak about #BetterforBalance
The event will be a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in Central Australia, network with new and interesting people, and enjoy a thought-provoking presentation alongside a delicious full buffet breakfast (vegans and vegetarians catered for) – all while supporting a great cause.
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day that celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women, and reflects on how far women have come in their struggle for equality, peace, and development. IWD also provides an opportunity to unite, network and mobilise funds to foster meaningful change into the future.
Tickets are $60 ($55 excluding GST), and include a full buffet breakfast. All funds raised go to NPWHF. This event sold out last year, so don’t wait until the last minute to buy your tickets!
