You’ll also see how we shape the ground to create swales and capture precious rain, allowing the garden to thrive with minimal watering.Activities include:Creating swales to collect rainwaterLaying cardboard to smother grassSpreading wood chip mulch to improve the soilRemoving invasive plants to let native plants flourishThis is a great opportunity to connect with your neighbors, learn something new, and be part of a growing movement for greener, more resilient communities. Come make a difference — one garden at a time!Help Our Gardens Grow: We need plain brown cardboard (no plastic coating/tape, please) for our rain garden sites. If you have extra, feel free to bring it to the event! All cardboard sizes will work, but the larger the better.
