We invite you into the Bug Shed for a meet and greet with our most curious-looking insects, along with some of our larger exotic residents, too. Our Animal Expert Daisy will give brave explorers an educational and hands-on meeting with our group of fabulous mini beasts such as the Millipedes, Katydids, Stick Insects, Cockroaches and more. PLUS, you’ll meet the likes of Mishu and Sisu, our Bearded Dragons. 10am and 12pm sessions (Approx 30 – 40 mins) 🗓️Wednesday 27th May 🗓️Friday 29th May 🎟️Child Ticket (U18) - £8.50 🎟️Accompanying adults - £5 Booking Essential - get your tickets via Eventbrite. For adults – your ticket includes your entry to The Walled Garden formal gardens (usually £4, and you're welcome to access the whole site with your ticket for this event) Space is limited, and tickets must be purchased online in advance. All attendees – including parents, require a ticket. We are also hosting our MAY GARDEN TRAIL on every day for the duration of the half-term. Maps sold separately on site. £3 each (a prize with every map). ℹ️Important information:ℹ️ - All attendees going in the bug shed require a ticket – including adults - All animals are safe to handle, and non-poisonous. - Event suitable for all ages but only ages 5+ are permitted to handle - All children between 5-9 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult, or if you feel your child would need support due to extra needs. - On the day, present your ticket to the event at the Entry Hut, and you’ll be directed over to the animal area by the play park (adults do not need to pay garden entry if you have a ticket to the event) - Our animal expert will give a small safety brief before the event and reserves the right to stop the animal handling at any time if they feel the safety of the animals is at risk - Parents and carers are politely asked to step in if they feel their child is becoming disruptive. Persistent loud screaming or mishandling of the animals may result in your being asked to leave the event -Adults not attending the event itself must still be on-site for the duration (30-40 mins). Refreshments available in our garden shop while you wait! - Please be prompt and arrive a few minutes before your session. Session times are set and cannot overrun.
