Join Niamh for a morning of discovery at Walliabup (Bibra Lake) as families explore the hidden world of wetland macroinvertebrates – the small but mighty creatures that help keep our freshwater systems healthy. Using nets and trays, participants will collect live specimens from the water’s edge, then take a closer look with magnifiers and simple identification keys. Together, you’ll investigate what these animals can tell us about water quality, food webs and wetland health, and marvel at the shapes, patterns and movement of these remarkable tiny animals. Date: Thursday, 29 January 2026 Time: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm Price: – $15 kids – $10 adults (adults to accompany children) – Concession tickets available (for concession card holders and other eligible categories) Parents/accompanying adults must buy adult tickets.
