PFAS are known as "forever chemicals" since they do not break down easily and can build up in the environment and the human body over time. Examples include products like firefighting foam, non-stick cookware, carpets, clothing and food packaging.

Come along to find out how what PFAS are, what these substances are used for and how they are affecting the environment and our health. Our speaker this month holds a pHD in chemistry and is one of the founding members of U3A branch in Cockburn.
