- **Event Description**: All parents & carers of children with additional support needs are invited to book a relaxing session hosted by Ali from Yay4Yoga at the beautiful Deeside Wellbeing Collective Studio in Scott Skinners Square, Banchory.

Join Ali to embrace deep rest, leaving behind all responsibility for a precious 90 minutes.

Opportunity to tune quietly inwards, supported by soft props and cocooned in blankets and lavender eye pillow.

Nowhere else you need to be, nothing you need to be doing, just surrendering to the moment. Expect some very gentle movement to ease out tension before settling into restorative yoga where we let the props hold us, cocooned in our own little yoga nest.

By allowing the body to truly rest, we can access the parasympathetic nervous system - also known as “rest and digest”. Heart rate slows, blood pressure lowers, the mind softens. We release the "bags" we carry, with a deep inner sigh, letting go of tension we hadn't realised we were holding. Eyes sink a little deeper into the sockets and we rest enveloped in supported stillness.

No yoga experience or bendiness required. The practise is slow, mindful, grounded and supported.

Mats and blankets & all props are provided - so just bring yourself and dress comfortably.   

The session will cost £5, bank details will be sent with confirmation.
