Long before supermarkets and pharmacies, people had to feed and doctor themselves with the plants around them. Join us to find out which plants they used and try some wild foods. We’ll go for a short walk around the Vat trail and look at the various plants we find there.

The walk will be approximately 2km. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress weather appropriately. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The event may be cancelled in the case of adverse weather, but efforts will be made to contact all attendees in advance.

There is parking available at Burn O'Vat visitor centre, but please be aware that it can be limited on nice weather days. There is alternative parking available at Clarack Car Park and in Dinnet Village, but both do require a walk through the reserve to the Visitor Centre.
