You'll W**d, hoe, plant, move woodchips, prepare soil and harvest at Arcadia Farm at Woodlawn -- acres that once belonged to George Washington himself!Closed-toe shoes are required: sharp hoes and exposed toes DO NOT PLAY WELL TOGETHER!Bring a sun hat, and bring a refillable water bottle.Long sleeves and pants are recommended.There are bees on the property busily pollinating our plants, and insects and thorns. And there's lots and lots of dirt. But it's real fun (and real work!) so you should totally come.We welcome folks of all ages. If you plan to bring a child under the age of 10 years old, they will need adult supervision during the entirety of the day. Adult hand tools (shovels, forks, etc) can be handled by anyone over the age of 12. We have kid-sized tools perfect for any younger volunteers.Please register in advance.
