"Together We Can " In-person Tobacco and vape Recovery Group, a program brought you to by Harmony Health's Community Connections, The Pat's Promise Health Initiative is funded by Mecklenburg Count Public Health Department [MCPH].

"Together We Can " aims to address reducing chronic diseases by providing Tobacco Cessation Healing Groups for our youth.

Participants will receive QUIT KITS, and resources.

Harmony Health, PLLC Therapeutic Services [Harmony Health] is an outpatient group behavioral health practice whose mission is “To improve the quality of life for families through a holistic approach in mental and emotional wellness”.

Harmony Health developed a program called Community Connections. Our Community Connections Program purpose is to partner with Community agencies, organizations, and such to increase access to additional Wellness resources and services for underserved populations. We partner with other community organizations to provide free or lower costs resources, training, and workshops to the Greater Charlotte Community.

According to the 2019 Mecklenburg County Community Health Assessment the top 2 leading causes of death in Mecklenburg County were Cancer and Heart Disease. Chronic disease accounts for almost 50% of deaths in the county. The report further documents that risk factors include smoking, obesity, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure; however, there are behaviors that can be modified to help reduce the impact of and/or delay the onset of these chronic conditions. These behaviors can include regular physical activity, eating healthy foods, and avoiding tobacco. Studies show that 9 out of every 10 smokers began smoking and or vaping before the age of 18.
