Students will explore a variety of letterforms through hands-on practice with markers, unique writing tools, and inks.We will view a variety of calligraphy examples along with a brief history of alphabets and scripts, followed by a demonstration. Students will practice making the basic letter strokes with different writing tools, papers, and inks, and learn tips to continue their practice at home.This is a time to slow down, use our hands and minds, and explore the world of making strokes into letters and words. All ages, beginners and those with experience are welcome. Good handwriting is not necessary, and practicing calligraphy improves handwriting with consistency and rhythm.All supplies are included. – Come join us at Del Ray Artisans for interactive classes about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM), taught by professionals from each field.
