Merlot is one of the finest red grapes in the world, finding great fame and prestige in its homeland of Bordeaux. Unfortunately, due to some misunderstandings in popular media, the grape has gotten a bad rep. In reality, it makes incredibly smooth, comforting, complex red wines that can range from light and bright to bold and oaky depending on where and how it is made.

In this class, we will taste a wide range of Merlot wines from Bordeaux to Napa Valley to showcase the many ways this popular grape can shine!
