Clip for a Cause
24 hours of shearing at Sandy Sutherland’s woolshed (formerly known as Greenfields) ~ starting Friday 16 January at 7am.
Murray (Kirky) Kirk has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and we would like to help the Kirks make great memories while they can. What better way to fundraise than through the industry that he has given 35 years to? Murray grew up in Oturehua and has spent his whole working life in this area. Between crutching, shearing, tailing and casual work he has been valuable to many farms throughout the Maniototo, Ida Valley, Becks and Omakau.
This family has been a great supporter of many organisations such as:
Becks Playgroup • Central Otago A&P Show • Dunstan Rugby • Matakanui Hockey • Matakanui Combined Rugby • Omakau Playcentre • Omakau School • Omakau toy Library
and now it's our chance to give back!
The Plan:
Farmers pay for their lambs to be shorn, all labour is donated
> 100% of profits and donations will go to the Kirks.
There's a job for everyone, we need:
shearers • rousies • pressers • shepherds • cooks • trucking support
and of course farmers with lambs that need shearing
Don't wait to be asked - get in touch and get involved!
