Out of courtesy to fellow members, if you did not pre-order birds, please ensure those who did receive theirs first.
Training Structure
We will organize participants into groups based on experience and goals.
If you’re unsure where you fit, just ask — we’re all here to help.
Whiteboards and running orders will be posted for each group to ensure everyone has the opportunity to work their dog. Please do not select a field and begin training independently.
Make the Most of the Day
Rather than running your dog and heading out immediately, consider staying to:
Walk with other groups
Observe different dogs and handlers
Learn how birds are planted or drags are set
Ask questions
Watching and helping is one of the best ways to grow as a handler.
Reminders
Break-action guns only (O/U, SxS, Single Shot)
WEAR BLAZE ORANGE
Bring water for yourself and your dog
Keep dogs in designated exercise areas
Maintain control of your dog at all times
Be courteous to others while training
Stay on roads and keep vehicle speeds to a minimum
Come prepared with goals for the day and for the season. Not sure where to start? Just ask.
Membership Requirement
If you are not a NAVHDA International member, you must complete and sign a release form to participate (copies will be available on-site).
Please note: Gunners at tests and trials must also be NAVHDA International members.
