Get ready to meet a real scientist—without leaving the library! During Skype a Scientist Day, participants will connect live with a professional scientist to learn about their work, ask questions, and explore what it’s like to have a career in science.

This month’s scientist has been selected by the 4th–6th Grade Council, giving students a voice in shaping the program. The featured scientist will be announced soon—stay tuned for the exciting reveal!

This interactive experience encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and STEM exploration, while giving students a chance to engage directly with someone working in the field.

The Thursday After School Program is for students currently enrolled in grades 4th - 6th. The program runs on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise announced. Planned activities are subject to change. Students must be enrolled online or in person at the Library by a parent or guardian to attend. Students are expected to follow program expectations of behavior. Parents and/or Guardians are responsible for ensuring that students understand and follow the program expectations of behavior.
