Did you know that on August 17, 1932, the Jazz pianist Duke Pierson was born in Atlanta, Georgia? He was an acclaimed musician, composer and music producer for Blue Note Records. If you aren't familiar with Duke Pierson, I encourage you to investigate his music and discography, you won't be disappointed.
The Sunday Jazz Jam - featuring The EQNX Jazztet - is still going strong and this week the Jazztet is getting together to bring you some exciting instrumental improvisational music for you to listen to.

MUSICIANS: ARRIVE EARLY BECAUSE THE SIT-IN LIST FILLS UP VERY FAST!!! IF YOU SHOW UP AT 6:00 PM WHEN THE JAM STARTS, THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE YOU WON'T PLAY. Make sure you have one or two tunes in mind and the key you want to play or sing them in. When in doubt bring a lead sheet!!
