The truth is, none of us live one-issue lives.
We carry our race, our gender, our class, our sexuality, our language, our family histories, our citizenship status, our wounds, and our resilience all at once. Those intersections shape how we move through the world, what we’re up against, and how we survive.
This next Low Writing workshop is a space to write from those crossroads.
It’s for people who feel pulled in multiple directions.
For people whose identities don’t fit cleanly into one box.
For people who are tired of having to explain themselves, simplify themselves, or leave parts of themselves behind.
We’ll write together. We’ll breathe. We’ll slow down long enough to listen to what our bodies and lives are trying to say. This isn’t an academic conversation and it’s not about getting the language “right.” It’s about telling the truth as you live it.
You don’t need to be a writer.
You don’t need polished work.
You just need a willingness to show up honestly.
Low Writing is about creating space for the kind of writing that doesn’t always have a home, the kind that helps us understand ourselves and each other a little more clearly.
If you’ve been carrying a lot, if your story feels layered or complicated, if you’ve been needing a place to put it, this space is for you.
