As believers, God's word informs every area of our lives including how we treat our earthly bodies. Colossians 3 calls us to put off our old selves and to put on our new self which is like Jesus Christ himself. What does this mean when we consider how we eat, move, and rest? We can recognize the lies of the world, thank God for the gifts of food and our bodies, and have different motivations. When we set our minds on things above, we find freedom, peace, and joy.

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

Meet Jenn

Jenn Bryant has been an RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutrition), CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) for over 20 years. She owns Nourished Nutrition Counseling, LLC in Albuquerque, NM where she uses a faith-based nutrition approach to inspire people to find freedom and joy in eating with a purpose. She is passionate about helping people take care of their bodies for God’s glory. Jenn also teaches nutrition classes at the YMCA of Central New Mexico, leads Bible Study at Desert Springs Church and is a Charles Simeon Trust small group leader. Jenn is married with 2 children and she enjoys traveling and trying all different kinds of food!
