THE CROOKED STUFF- This San Francisco-based outfit is a cross-pollinated hybrid of electronic rock, disco punk, heavy soul and sub-bumping beats.  With threads of influential DNA from: the Doors, Devo, Daft Punk, the Headhunters, Prodigy, Talking Heads and an array of other psychedelic synth-punk experiences — the trio’s (vocals, synths, drums) sound was born at a twisted intersection between the modern electronic and deep analog worlds.

Having shared the stage with bands such as: Tank and the Bangas, Fishbone, the Nth Power, Lyrics Born, Dumpstaphunk, Monophonics, and Papa Mali – the Crooked Stuff understand what it takes to continue their ascent into deeper space.

The haunting vocal stylings of Tom Gorton are at the forefront of the mix, as the Crooked Stuff grabs you like an Elmore Leonard crime novel and refuses to let go.  You’ll quickly find yourself fully surrendered to this exotic soundscape, mystified as to what is unfolding on stage and in your auditory receptors. Special guest- 

EMPLIFIER- Long time collaborators, saxophonist Marcus Stephens and trumpeter Henry Hung have been making music together for two decades, performing and recording with seminal groups such as the Souls of Mischief, Tune-Yards, Myron & E, Thao, and Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo. Emplifier's music challenges the intersection between live performance and samples, composition and improvisation,  acoustic horns and effects, while being informed by the indomitable spirit that links jazz to hip hop, intentionally finding the space where musically, Joe Henderson and J Dilla meet.  Incorporating the use of samplers, synthesizers, horn effects processing, their compositions weave improvisation and through composed melodies into music that expresses their exploratory spirit and musical kinship honed by the many years they have been playing music together.
