We will learn about the origins of tulips, how they came to Europe and North America, and how they grow. Learn more about agricultural science by helping us plant tulips in the gardens, and chatting with our special guest cheese monger Mark Newbold.We will also be treated to story time by Barbara N. Howard and Hayes Fields. This special story telling program is in partnership with the Capital Repertory Theater and the Albany District (NY) Chapter of The Links.Please note: at this time Ten Broeck Mansion does not have a public restroom. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.About the Presenters:Hayes Fields is a Capital-region actor in performances with the Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate NY and Park Playhouse, and professional in the theatre industry. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.Museum spaces and gardens offer very limited seating.4) Gardens & GroundsOur gardens and parking lot are reserved for registered museum program visitors during regular tour and program hours.Our site is pack‑in, pack‑out; please take all waste with you. Light lunches (brown-bag type) may be enjoyed on our grounds, but no parties, buffets, hammocks, additional chairs and tables, or tents may be brought in or used.Pets must be kept on a 6 foot or less leash at all times, and all pet waste must be removed.
