Through easy to learn songs, teaching by ear, we’ll explore songs as they sound, feel, and consider how they connect us to ourselves and each other. And we’ll hold it lightly - you don’t need to be an experienced singer to take part - just come along and make a sound.We’ll begin with warm-ups and breathing exercises, followed by a main singing activity and close with some gentle reflections. We’ll sing as a group, and no-one will have to sing alone. Whether you sing on a stage, or alone in your car, if you’ve never sung before, or you simply want to listen, you are invited.Dr Kathleen Turner is a singer, songwriter, community musician and arts practice researcher visiting from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. Kathleen is Course Director of the MA Community Music, and musical director of an experiential choir called ’Nasc’.
