What’s the very first thing Jesus says in the Gospel of John?
Not a command. Not a lecture. A question: “What are you looking for?” (John 1:38)
We’re beginning a new journey built around that question—because Jesus invites us to seek him, and promises real, abundant life when we do.
We all share deep longings. And maybe those longings are God’s invitation to seek him—together.
Through prayer and fasting, daily reflections, and in-person gatherings where we can share faith and questions openly, we’ll pursue Jesus more intentionally as a community. This Lent, we will:
1. FAST from social media to make room to...
2. FOCUS on Jesus by reading and reflecting on devotions written by Pastor Josh Bower and sent to all participants (You do NOT need to be a member of 1st Presbyterian or even in Albany to receive these daily devotions!). Click here to sign up for the daily reflections:

3. FORMATION, meeting in person 3 times during Lent, starting with a free lunch catered by Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant immediately following worship this Sunday, February 22. At that meeting we'll give all the details of the study and how you can participate.
Join us as we begin this study after worship this Sunday.
As Jesus told his first disciples: “Come, and you will see.”
