- **Event Description**: We’d like to invite everyone to come out for our 2nd Friday dance this month this Friday, June 12 with Ben Smith (fiddle, banjo), Eric Buddington (fiddle), and Seamus Connor (guitar, mandolin), with Liz Nelson calling. This will be the last dance before our regular summer break for July and August. See below for dates for the nearby Buhrmaster Barn Dances.

 As always, our beginner’s lesson starts at 7:45pm, with the dance following from 8pm to 11pm. The dance is held at the Albany Elks Lodge, located at 25 S Allen St, Albany, NY. The ballroom is air-conditioned! Clean, soft-soled shoes are recommended to protect the dance floor. All dances are taught, and no partner is necessary!

Admission is sliding scale from $8 –$20+. Calling will use Larks and Robins to denote dance roles.

The DFO also has a couple of outreach activities planned for June - tabling at Full Out Fest on June 7 and the Albany Pride Festival on June 14. Let us know if you are interested in volunteering for a shift at either event.

Masks will be optional but recommended from now on unless there is a significant rise in hospitalizations.
