In this beginner-friendly workshop, Aly Parrott invites you to explore embroidery as a global art form and a powerful creative tool. Learn foundational stitches that will anchor your practice, experiment with fabrics and threads from around the world, and discover how this ancient craft can elevate your artistic voice. You’ll complete a small, guided project with room to play, personalize, and push boundaries. Whether you're an artist looking to expand your repertoire or a curious maker ready to dive in, this class is your gateway to a vibrant, tactile medium that spans cultures and centuries.

Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
