Step into the world of botanical art and learn how traditional botanical plates were created—then try the process yourself. In this 3‑hour workshop, Nancy will introduce you to the foundations of botanical drawing, starting with the simple geometric shapes that form the basis of all natural forms. Through gradual toning and careful layering, you’ll learn how to build depth, dimension, and that classic “pop off the page” look. Working with colored pencils, you’ll begin by layering neutral tones to establish form and value before adding rich color on top. Nancy will guide you through each stage, from the first light sketch to the final details that bring your rose to life. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own lovely Vintage Rose—a timeless botanical study and a beautiful piece to take home. Supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop.
