- **Event Description**: Join the Albany FitWalkers for this walk. This walk will visit two historic areas of Albany in the core downtown area with many historic homes to see.  Albany has more historic homes per capita than any other city in Oregon.  We start the walk at the historic 1909 carousel mechanism donated by Bill Dentzel, grandson of Gustav Dentzel, founder of the Dentzel Carousel Corporation.  It was completely restored and all of the menagerie of animals crafted by local volunteers.

Driving Directions:  From Lyon or Ellsworth Streets, go west on 1st Avenue to Washington Street.  Park at the Carousel or on nearby city streets.
