If you don't subscribe, you can get the magazine online from your library using the "Libby" app or else listen to the podcast "The Writer's Voice" by The New Yorker.Stories for this meeting will be from the June issues: 1). priority to read are the 3 from the 6/8 fiction issue:  Firstborn Immigrant Daughter, The Twice-Widowed Khala Helai, and A Talent for Seeming . 2). June is a special month for stories and so we will also discuss three more stories, one each in the 6/15, 6/22, and 6/29 issues. Join the discussion whether you read one or all.Please register to join us at the venue - registration is free. We will be sitting in the cafe in the back, or in the outdoor garden in back of the cafe. There is a small menu of snacks and beverages for sale on Saturday and sales benefit the Friends of the Alameda Library. I will bring a tray of cookies.
