Join the Step Stronger walking group on Saturday, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟒𝐭𝐡, as we take over the streets of Alachua for a morning of wellness, connection, and community spirit! In honor of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆, we are inviting every "strong stepper" in the area to join us for a scenic 5K stroll through our traditional neighborhoods. 

This is a chance to meet our neighbors, meet someone new, or exercise with your friends. The truth is, you never know who you’re going to meet or what you will find. Step out and take a chance! 

𝐁𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲:
• Stepping strong doesn’t mean you have to be strong. For us, it’s a way of life. This is a walk, not a race! Just like in life, we keep moving forward, no matter how fast or slow we move. That goes for you, too! 
• We’ll be rolling through Alachua’s established neighborhoods and down historic Main Street.
• You'll have a quick stop at the local Farmer’s Market and make sure you’re hydrated. Feel free to hit up the local vendors. 
• Early Steppers get the swag: The first 50 participants who arrive at the park will receive an exclusive Step Stronger T-shirt! 

•	 WHEN: Saturday, April 4th, 2026
•	 TIME: 11:00 AM (Arrival/Check-in starts at 10:45 AM)
•	 WHERE: Gerald Criswell Park, Alachua, FL
•	 THE ROUTE: A 5K (approx. 3.1 miles) through neighborhoods and Downtown.

We want Alachua and the surrounding areas to show up! There is strength in numbers! We are calling on local churches, civic groups, fraternities, sororities, non-profits, and families to come out as a team. Wear your group’s colors or shirts, and let’s show up for a healthier community and a good time.
