celebrate the legacy of the iconic Yemeni and
Gulf singer, Abu Bakr Salem (1939–2017).

Born in the city of Tarim, his artistic journey
began at Aden Radio in the mid-1950s, before he
moved to Beirut in 1958. He later traveled
between Cairo and the Gulf capitals, settling first
in Jeddah and finally in Riyadh, where he
passed away in December 2017.

Throughout his remarkable career, Abu Bakr
Salem released dozens of albums and hundreds
of songs that became timeless classics in the
Arab musical memory. He collaborated with
leading poets, composers, and singers, and
inspired celebrated voices such as Abdullah Al-
Ruwaished, Rashed Al-Majed, and Abdulemjeed
Abdullah.

This concert revives the melodies he composed
and performed, featuring the renowned singer
Adel Al-Mas, accompanied by a full choir and
under the baton of Maestro Dr. Khaled Nouri,
leading a grand ensemble of nearly 40
musicians and vocalists—a night where
authenticity, nostalgia, and artistry come
